MiamiTech.Works, a Miami-Dade Beacon Council initiative, is an online web portal to connect people who were laid off or lost work due to the COVID-19 pandemic with job and skill-development opportunities in the technology industry. My role in this project as graphic designer of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council was to develop the design, look and feel for the website and to work with the development team involved to bring it to life.
My concept behind the logo was to create a light and modern look while connecting to the tech aspect of the project by using a motherboard found in computers as inspiration for the line work. The "M" for Miami and "W" for Works are connected by a Tech element putting the emphasis on connecting the people of Miami to work through tech.
