Culturefest 305
CultureFest 305 is an annual celebration of what makes Miami, Miami; bringing together musicians, artists, craftsmen, cooks and local vendors for a day of performances, demonstrations and cultural experiences.
In 2023, I served as both the featured artist and graphic designer, creating the official festival poster and developing a cohesive visual system across all marketing and event materials. This includes flyers, social media graphics, way finding signage/map, feather banners, LED displays and more. The concept was guided by the question, “What makes Miami, Miami?”expressed through a layered composition highlighting the city’s diverse cultures and traditions, as well as reference's to specific programming of that year.
In 2024, I collaborated with featured artist Gabriel Perez, serving in an art direction role while leading the design and execution of campaign materials. I translated the artist’s work into a flexible visual system, ensuring consistency and adaptability across platforms while maintaining the integrity of the original artwork.
This project reflects my ability to evolve from concept creation to art direction, shaping and extending a visual identity across a comprehensive campaign.
Crystal Alyssa Rodriguez, lead graphic designer and Gabriel Perez, featured artist
In 2024, as lead designer, I selected and collaborated with featured artist Gabriel Perez, serving as a liaison between the museum and the artist. I guided the visual direction toward a nostalgic, postcard-inspired approach drawn from the HistoryMiami Museum’s archives, while incorporating illustrated elements that highlight Miami’s cultural diversity.
