The piece Projections continues the conversation about how an individual would display himself or herself in a space whether it is physical or virtual through a series of projections. The formal element of everything being a 1:1 ratio square is significant in the sense of following a standard and being restricted as to what and how someone can present themselves in today’s society. The video loop is a screen test of myself confronting the camera and being aware of how it sees me just as how people take care to control how others see them. The gestures on both the reflected screen and the wall where the mirror hangs are indications to allow the audience to interact with the projections. This emphasizes the idea of how people try to project their own interpretations on what they are looking at and distorting the original image or idea.
